With all of us now living in isolation, it is easy to stop looking after ourselves and our appearance, like staying in our pyjamas all day or not washing for several days. However, this is shown to have a negative impact on our mental wellbeing as we mentally associate pyjamas with sleeping and lounging, leading to a natural hindrance in our productivity. It can also make it more difficult for us to get into our Rest Period at night, as the changing of clothes is usually part of a routine which mentally prepares us for rest.
Not only can a bit of self-care make us more productive but also improve our mood and boost our self-confidence. Even if you are not going to be seeing anyone else do it for yourself because you are worth the effort.
